Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join our team at Amergis. This role is essential in supporting the Speech Language Pathologist in delivering effective speech and language services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing speech and language programs as outlined in the treatment plan established by the supervising Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Provide support during screenings and assessments, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and communicate findings to the supervising Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Utilize augmentative and alternative communication devices to enhance student learning.
  • Adapt educational materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative care efforts.
  • Support the supervising Speech Language Pathologist in research and training initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Speech Language Pathology Assistant program or a related field.
  • Completion of supervised fieldwork experience as required by state guidelines.
  • Current certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
