We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our ICU Float Pool team at Texas Health Resources. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver patient-centered care to patients in the ICU Float Pool, utilizing the Nursing Process to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient unit operations.
- Participate in unit-based councils and committees to drive quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to promote a culture of respect and empathy.
- Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
- BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
- ACLS - within 90 days of hire required.
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 60 days of hire.
- NIHSS - required for ICU/PCU Neighborhood 6 Months Req.
- 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
- Current ICU experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients.
- Possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism.
- Have basic computer skills using medical management application systems.
