Position Overview:

We are in search of a Process Controls Engineer to contribute to our operations at the Urbana, OH facility. This position involves the development and execution of projects focused on instrumentation, control systems, and automated machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement control systems for projects with varying degrees of complexity.
  • Assess system solutions to fulfill client specifications.
  • Program logic for diverse systems utilizing multiple programming languages and control device networks.
  • Demonstrate expertise in HMI design, PID loops, and machine networking.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and uncover opportunities.
  • Oversee project scope, planning, and deliverables.
  • Provide technical support and project estimates.
  • Offer on-call assistance for manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct employee training and coordinate project activities.
  • Supervise contractors engaged in control system projects.
  • Document work orders through SAP.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial controls or 10 years in a manufacturing environment is essential. Proficiency in ABB DCS, Siemens, or Allen Bradley control systems is required. Strong project management and leadership capabilities are necessary, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to adapt to various environmental conditions is also important.
