Job Summary

Community Counseling Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Residential Mental Health Specialist II, III or IV to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional care to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide culturally competent and appropriate behavioral health treatment to individuals served by Community Counseling Solutions.
  • Work closely with other community partners to provide comprehensive care.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to clinical decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain client records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to initiate new programs and evaluate existing ones.
  • Provide behavioral health and addiction education to various interest groups.
  • Administer urinalysis testing and provide accurate information to clients.
  • Report any abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities.
  • Participate in seclusion and restraint practices as necessary.
Requirements
  • MHS IV: Doctorate degree from an accredited college in social work, psychology, or a related field, or a master's degree with accompanying certification as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
  • MHS III: Master's degree from an accredited college in social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • MHS II: Bachelor's degree and enrollment or willingness to enroll in a master's program within 4 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a Certified Mental Health Investigator.
  • Certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
  • Knowledge of symptoms and challenges faced by individuals with mental illness and addictions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a residential environment and the community, with occasional out-of-area travel and overnight stays. The position exposes the employee to everyday risks and discomforts, requiring a high level of awareness of self and surroundings.
