Position Overview:
Our client, a leader in the manufacturing sector, is in search of a proficient Paint Robot Technician to oversee a dedicated team during the evening shift. This pivotal role is essential for upholding superior standards in automotive finishing by managing the operation and maintenance of robotic painting systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate robotic painting systems to ensure compliance with stringent quality standards and timely deliveries.
  • Identify, document, and report any discrepancies related to products, processes, and quality assurance systems.
  • Propose and implement strategies to mitigate deviations in products and processes.
  • Assess the effectiveness of implemented solutions and validate their execution.
  • Contribute to the revision of control plans in accordance with IATF-16949 standards.
  • Develop, execute, and log paint parameter settings for all application machinery.
  • Conduct and document maintenance activities to ensure peak performance of robotic systems.
  • Perform daily maintenance on electrostatic spray equipment and associated tools.
  • Calibrate and verify machinery to ensure accuracy and consistency in the painting process.
  • Exhibit strong collaboration and actively participate in team initiatives within a constructive work environment.
  • Adhere to all safety and health regulations, objectives, and protocols.
  • Maintain proper ergonomics and cleanliness in assigned work areas upon task completion.
  • Alert the Process Team Leader regarding any equipment malfunctions.
  • Be available for overtime as required in alignment with company policies.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Team Leader.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience of six years.
  • A combination of work experience and ongoing education towards a degree will be considered.
  • Proficiency in utilizing the Windows operating system.
  • Previous experience in automotive finishing and robotics is preferred.
  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge in industrial control systems is beneficial.
Desirable Skills:
  • Ability to perform tasks while standing or walking for a minimum of eight hours daily.
  • Capability to lift objects weighing up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work at various heights and stoop or reach as necessary.
  • Able to climb stairs and wear a respirator when required.
  • Good near vision is essential for this position.
  • Compliance with the company's smoke and tobacco-free policy is mandatory both on and offsite.
  • Proficiency in computer technology and programming is a valuable asset.
