Position Overview

This role requires the operation of manufacturing machinery in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring proper documentation is maintained, and fostering effective communication within the team. Responsibilities also include performing scheduled maintenance on equipment, assisting in changeovers, and guaranteeing high-quality product output.

Safety Responsibilities

  • Comply with all safety standards and protocols
  • Ensure safe operation of machinery
  • Implement Lockout/Tagout procedures
  • Utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Identify and rectify unsafe conditions
  • Engage in safety training sessions

Daily Operations

  • Oversee equipment performance
  • Complete necessary training requirements
  • Gather and assess quality data
  • Report issues and suggest improvements
  • Execute maintenance activities
  • Promote cleanliness and organization

Quality/GMP/Food Safety

  • Guarantee superior product quality
  • Accurately label and verify production
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Document quality and safety concerns

Preventive Maintenance

  • Conduct equipment changeovers
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Proactively address machine inefficiencies
  • Keep equipment clean and operational
  • Assess equipment for potential enhancements

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a sense of urgency, professionalism, and a strong commitment to business development. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required, along with a proactive attitude towards tasks and a focus on continuous improvement.
