About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Abrazo West Campus. As a critical care expert, you will be responsible for providing top-notch respiratory therapy to patients in need.
Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients with various respiratory conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of respiratory principles, as well as excellent communication and patient assessment skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by physicians, focusing on complex cases
- Train and mentor staff members on respiratory care techniques and procedures
- Conduct diagnostic testing, including PFTs and ABG machine maintenance
- Perform hemodynamic assessments and special procedures in ICU and PACU settings
- Assess and treat patients across all age groups, from newborns to geriatric patients
- Preccept students and orientees in respiratory therapy practices
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of a two-year formal education program in respiratory therapy, meeting certification (CRT) and registration (RRT) requirements
- At least two years of experience in respiratory therapy, preferably in acute care and ICU settings
- Preferred certifications include ACLS, PALS, and NRP
- Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist in the State of Arizona and CPR certification
Benefits
