Job Title: Associate Superconducting Circuit Design Engineer

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Superconducting Circuit Design Engineer to join our team of scientists and engineers in the design of integrated circuits for emerging applications in low-temperature environments.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented engineer to work in a fast-paced team environment alongside a broad array of scientists and engineers to make design solutions a reality. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or a closely related field, with 6 months or more experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Learn superconducting, quantum, design, and RF EM simulation techniques.
  • Work closely with chip leads to understand and complete ASIC design tasks.
  • Document and present weekly reports on design task status.
  • Continue to learn and develop in a unique and interesting environment.
Requirements:
  • BS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or a closely related field.
  • 6 months or more experience.
  • Very strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Experience with Cadence Virtuoso or similar IC design software.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Able to collaborate with multiple team members and other teams to complete assigned tasks.
  • Able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of the IC design flow including schematic capture, simulation, and layout.
  • An interest in superconductivity and advanced computing technology.
  • Proficient use of Cadence Virtuoso.
  • Experience with Python is a plus.
