Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Multidisciplinary Educator for English Language Learners to join our team at FirstLine Schools.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and lesson planning, providing pull-out and push-in services as needed, consulting with classroom teachers on instructional strategies, designing materials for student use, writing and monitoring accommodation plans, reviewing and maintaining student records, and supporting classroom teachers in developing and planning curriculum and accommodations.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach and develop engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of English language learners
  • Provide targeted support to students through pull-out and push-in services, ensuring they meet academic standards
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to share expertise and best practices in instructional strategies
  • Design and implement effective materials for student use, including assessments and accommodations
  • Develop and monitor individualized accommodation plans to ensure students' needs are met
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, adhering to legal and school reporting requirements
  • Support classroom teachers in developing and planning curriculum and accommodations, promoting inclusive learning environments

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum two years of teaching experience
  • Demonstrated success working with students in an urban, open admissions setting
  • Louisiana ESL certification or eligibility
  • Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Reporting Structure: The ELL Teacher reports directly to the RTI Coordinator.
