Job Summary

GeoEngineers is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Geotechnical Engineering Intern to join our team for the summer. As a Geotechnical Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, gain hands-on experience, and develop your skills in geotechnical engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers and scientists with field explorations and construction projects.
  • Document field conditions and complete field reports.
  • Conduct routine laboratory testing and analyses.
  • Assist with office and project-related deliverables.
  • Organize and maintain lab and field equipment.
  • Conduct work safely and support the safe work practices of team members.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program specializing in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable form of personal transportation.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Ability to perform a wide range of physical activities, regular walking, bending, standing and reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform consistent work on a PC with prolonged sitting and view of a monitor/screen.

Compensation and Benefits

GeoEngineers offers a competitive salary range for this position, located in Spokane, WA. Compensation will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity. Employees in this role may also be eligible for our annual year-end bonus offering, subject to program eligibility requirements.
