Quality Staffing, Inc., a leading employment agency, is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist to work as a contract employee with the State of Tennessee Department of Corrections in Nashville, TN.



The salary for this position is $32.00 per hour, offering a competitive pay rate for the area.



Job Overview

As a Medical Technologist, you will provide direct daily living care for patients, including bathing, dressing, serving meals, and helping with feeding. You will also assist with turning or repositioning bedridden patients, moving, lifting, and transferring patients using necessary equipment.



Collecting information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, and doctors, and examining patients for bruises, blood in urine, or other injuries/wounds are also key responsibilities.



You will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing patient areas, changing bed sheets, and restocking rooms with necessary supplies. Additionally, you will provide mental health monitoring, escort patients to appropriate areas in case of an emergency, and perform Heimlich maneuvers and CPR as needed.



Requirements for this position include being currently licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant/Technician or having experience equivalent to 1 to 3 years. Local residency in the Nashville, Tennessee area is also required.



Minimum Requirements


  • Current American Heart Association/BLS CPR-Basic Life Support Provider certification, active for at least 1 year.
  • A 2-Step TB Skin Test, with results provided 2 weeks prior to starting the position.
  • Willingness to receive Influenza immunization annually.
  • Mandatory Orientation (4 days for techs), with attendance required for all days.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
