Position Overview: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Embark on your journey in maintenance and engineering with JLL.

The Facilities Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the operational, inspection, and maintenance activities related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within designated facilities. This entry-level position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow in a safe working environment, under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the engineering team with the upkeep and repair of building systems and equipment.
  • Engage in general maintenance tasks, including carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and painting.
  • Complete assigned work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and maintain accurate service records.
  • Ensure tools, parts, equipment, and supplies are kept in clean and safe conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with Operating Engineers, Chief Engineers, and other team members.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs focused on technical skills, safety, and operational processes.
  • Provide support during on-call or emergency situations, as needed.
  • Undertake additional projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfort with using ladders up to 30 feet in height.
  • Capability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and/or drive.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
