Patient Care Responsibilities

The Travel Nurse will:

  • Conduct direct patient care activities across all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Coordinate and monitor patient care activities with ancillary departments to enhance patient comfort and care.
  • Operate within the nursing scope of practice, adhering to established guidelines and standards.
  • Exhibit strong human relations and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate clinical expertise in the designated area of responsibility.
Qualifications
  • Licensure: Current RN License eligible for Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an Emergency Department at a Level 1 or 2 Trauma facility; this must be reflected in the resume.
  • Facility Type: Busy urban trauma center.
  • Preferred Experience: High acuity experience.
Schedule Information
  • Shift: Days, from 07:00 to 19:00.
  • Weekend Requirements: As needed by the facility.
  • Call Requirements: None.
Unit Specifics
  • Bed Capacity: 68 beds.
  • Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1, subject to change based on circumstances.
  • EMR System: EPIC.
  • Patient Types: Level one trauma, Stroke, STEMI center, and regional burn center.
  • Dress Code: Black scrubs; professional attire required.
Additional Responsibilities

The Travel Nurse will:

  • Utilize the nursing process to deliver quality patient care.
  • Maintain accountability for patient care delivery.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other caregivers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care.
  • Uphold patient rights and confidentiality.
  • Perform duties in alignment with our mission, values, and service standards.
