Critical Care Registered Nurse

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Medical ICU unit.
Responsibilities:- Adhere to and comply with all regulatory standards globally to profession and specific to unit.
- Understand and implement new physician orders within two hours of initiation for routine and within 30 minutes or less for stat.
- Prepare patients for invasive and non-invasive medical procedures, ensuring universal protocol compliance.
- Administer medication per physicians orders, adhering to the hospital-approved patient identifiers and following the 5 rights of patient medication administration.
- Communicate changes in patient condition and initiate timely interventions to prevent negative patient outcomes.
- Maintain current licensure and annual competencies as specific to assignment, keeping written evidence on file at all times.
- Ensure and understand the safety aspect of clinical alarms.
- Follow Patient Safety goals as established by the department; support effective responses to adverse and sentinel events; provide an on-going proactive approach to reduce risk; integrate patient safety as a priority into new and existing processes.
- Report incidents to supervisor and Risk Management department within required timeframe in accordance with medical center policy.
- Current/Valid Florida RN Licensure
- BLS and ACLS Certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN inclusive of exposure to critical care
