Job Title: Operating Room Tech / Operating Room Open Heart

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to fill a travel position in Overland Park, Kansas.

Job Description

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in the operating room, assisting with surgical operations before, during, and after the procedure. Your duties will include prepping the OR, surgical tools, and equipment, helping nurses and surgeons scrub in, maintaining sterile conditions, assisting with tools during surgery, cleaning the OR after surgery, and transporting patients to and from surgery.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with surgical operations, maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to safety protocols
  • Prepare and maintain surgical tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition
  • Collaborate with nurses and surgeons to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process
  • Transport patients to and from surgery, providing a safe and comfortable experience
  • Participate in post-operative care, ensuring patients receive the best possible care
Requirements
  • Nationally Certified in Surgical Technology (NBSTSA)
  • BLS Certification
  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute Surg Tech experience
  • Trauma Experience preferred, but not required
  • Travel experience preferred, but not required
