Railroad Freight Clerk

As a Railroad Freight Clerk, you will play a critical role in the efficient movement of goods and materials across the country. You will be responsible for inspecting trailers, tracks, and the intermodal yard, ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition. Additionally, you will input information into computers and prepare reports, research, review, and record trailer inventory. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
• Inspect trailers, tracks, and the intermodal yard to ensure equipment is in good working condition
• Input information into computers and prepare reports, research, review, and record trailer inventory
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals
• Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements
• 18 years of age or older
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to perform heavy physical labor
• Basic computer and typing competencies
• Ability to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays
Work Environment
This role is part of a 24/7 operation and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be working outdoors and may be required to work in all weather conditions. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
