Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Allegheny Health Network. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality diagnostic images are produced, while prioritizing patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret physician orders and select appropriate software options and imaging parameters to produce high-quality PET/CT images.
  • Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, and radiation safety regulations.
  • Effectively communicate with customers and/or radiologists to ensure seamless imaging processes.
  • Troubleshoot scanner and peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Associate's Degree.
  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N) required.
  • AHA BLS certification required.
  • 1-2 years PET imaging experience or 1-2 years' experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies preferred.
