Job Title: Security Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and employees. This includes enforcing security policies and procedures, responding to incidents and emergencies, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce security policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests and employees.
  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas.
  • Assist in transporting and verifying money, chips, and tokens.
  • React to patron and employee incidents and accidents.
  • Monitor patron and employee passage in and out of the casino.
  • Responsible for checking and reporting safety hazards.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees.
  • Responsible for verifying IDs for patrons who appear under the age of 35.
  • Responsible for identifying and reporting guests who may be showing signs of intoxication.
  • Assist with incident command for emergency response situations.
  • Use a company vehicle to patrol outside parking lots and other areas outside the main casino floor.
  • Completes all company-required training with designated time frames.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One year of security or law enforcement experience or equivalent education preferred.
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
  • Ability to complete all required company training.
  • Valid driver's license and meet insurance requirements.
Work Environment

The Security Officer will work in a brightly lit, smoke-filled casino environment with above-average noise levels. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies is essential.

The Security Officer will be required to stand for long periods of time, walk to various areas of the casino, and lift up to 250 pounds with help. The ability to read and comprehend information from identification cards is also required.

The Security Officer will be required to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
