Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging medical coding courses that reflect industry standards and current trends. Provide comprehensive instruction across cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains in medical coding. Evaluate and report on student learning outcomes to enhance continuous improvement and success. Utilize strong computer and communication skills to effectively engage with a diverse student body.Required Qualifications:
A diploma in a health-related discipline from an accredited institution. Current certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Medical Coder (CMC), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT). A minimum of two years of experience in medical billing, coding, and insurance within the last five years.Preferred Qualifications:
An associate's degree or diploma in medical records administration, medical coding, or medical billing and insurance. Previous teaching experience in a health science-related field at the postsecondary level. Familiarity with Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) for course delivery.Application Process: Interested candidates are required to complete the electronic application process. Submission of unofficial transcripts, a resume, and proof of relevant certifications or licensure is necessary for consideration. Official transcripts and verification of prior employment will be required within 30 days of hire for continued employment.
