About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our Warehouse Operations team at Hearthside Food Solutions. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, handling and processing materials, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Identify, transport, pack, remove, and dispose of products and materials in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Forklift Operations: Safely operate forklifts, handcarts, or pallet jacks to pick, replenish, shuttle, and load/unload orders.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, count, weigh, and record numbers of units or materials moved or handled.
  • Housekeeping: Perform required housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping floors, putting trash into containers, and picking up stray product.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve warehouse goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous material handling experience preferred, but not required.
  • Skills: Ability to lift up to 90lbs assisted and 40lbs unassisted, ability to stand up to 80% of the time scheduled, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications: Ability to obtain forklift certification within 90 days.
