We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Avera Brady Health and Rehab, providing direct care to residents in our long term care facility. As a CNA, you will be an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, working closely with licensed nurses to ensure the physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual needs of our residents are met.

The successful candidate will have a strong desire to provide exceptional daily care, fostering meaningful relationships with our residents while maintaining their independence. This role requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care.

Job Summary

This position involves providing personal care and services to residents in our skilled nursing facility, which includes:

  • Providing direct care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assisting with transfers and mobility as needed
  • Assisting with feeding and hydration
  • Monitoring vital signs and reporting changes to licensed nurses

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Certified as a nursing assistant in the State of South Dakota within 120 days of starting this position
  • Basic Life Support Certification within 6 months if primary work shift is a night shift position

You will also need to be available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, with every other holiday off.

Salary and Benefits

The hourly range for this position is $18.25-$24.00 per hour, with opportunities for career growth and professional development. We also offer competitive pay, front-loaded PTO, options for free health insurance, and a sign-on bonus paid out over 24 months.
