Job Summary

Southern States Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Agronomy Summer Intern to join our team. As an Agronomy Summer Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various functional areas within the Agronomy field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in crop scouting and tissue sampling
  • Work with Agronomist, Agronomy Sales Managers, and Agronomy Operations Managers to resolve questions and concerns
  • Assist with calls on customers to solicit sales and handle questions about products
  • Shadow other employees to learn techniques to deliver high-quality customer service
Requirements
  • Good written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment
  • Computer skills required
  • Able to use iPhone and iPad technology, including mobile applications
  • Valid driver's license and 19 years old to drive company vehicles
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent climbing, stooping, bending, and crawling
