Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to provide general office management and clerical support on our Nursing Unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in an acute care or skilled nursing facility and possess basic computer skills, including data entry and email usage. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate care for patients, considering growth and developmental phases, age-related factors, and special needs such as language barriers and cultural requirements.

• Uses standard precautions and personal protective equipment to prevent infection and maintain a safe environment.

• Assists patients with hygiene, including bathing, mouth care, and hair washing, while preserving patient dignity and privacy.

• Changes bed linens, empties bedpans, and assists patients with meals and nourishment distribution.

• Measures and records intake and output, positions patients correctly, and transports patients safely.

• Responds to patient call lights, obtains vital signs, and applies chest leads for remote telemetry monitoring.

• Collects and labels specimens, inventories patient belongings, and provides 1:1 patient supervision as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 3 years of experience in an acute care or skilled nursing facility or student nurse with hospital-based clinical experience.

• Basic computer skills, including data entry, email usage, and internet navigation.

• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.

• CPR certification required; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
