The Cardiac Surgical Technologist is a vital member of the surgical team at the University of California. This role requires a strong understanding of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, and supply management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in cardiac surgical technology and be certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST).

Responsibilities:

• Anticipate physician needs at the sterile field
• Prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment
• Implement aseptic technique and maintain a sterile environment
• Handle specimens and adhere to department policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program or relevant years of experience
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Surgical Tech experience
• More than 1 year of cardiac experience highly desired

Salary range: $45.17 per hour
