The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various job site tasks, including re-hanging doors and installing hardware, crown molding, stair banisters, mantles, baseboards, etc.
Responsibilities:
* Perform carpentry job site tasks as assigned
* Understand and execute work orders in a timely and professional manner
* Maintain strict attention to detail when working at customer's property
* Maintain clean, organized work areas and securely store equipment and supplies
* Follow all safety policies and procedures
* Ensure that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
* Maintain positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other employees
* Promote business development by projecting a positive image of the company during interactions with employees, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Participate in meetings, committees, educational opportunities, etc. as requested/required
* Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED required
* Advanced education degree, coursework, or tech school a plus
* Two years of general carpentry experience preferred
* Carpentry skills and knowledge of carpentry tools and equipment
* Industry knowledge preferred
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Exceptional customer service skills
* Highly organized and self-motivated
* Quality conscious and detail-oriented
* Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
* Must have own vehicle
* Must have the physical ability to perform all aspects of this job (repetitive movements, standing, lifting, climbing, working at heights of greater than 10 feet, etc.)
* Knowledge of handicap codes (i.e., AAB, ADA, etc.) preferred
* Ability to read and understand related construction documents (i.e., plans, specs, shop drawings, etc.) a plus
* Knowledge of OSHA standards for Jobsite safety provisions (i.e., safety rail dimensions, etc.) preferred
* Knowledge and skills to use layout equipment and techniques (i.e., level, laser level, etc.) a plus
