Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Security Systems Specialist to join our team at the National Guard Employment Network. As an Electronics Security Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electronic security systems, performing preventive maintenance requirements, and leading teams on large complex installation projects with limited supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain electronic security systems, including access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance requirements to ensure systems are functioning properly.
  • Lead teams on large complex installation projects with limited supervision.
  • Program and install head-end equipment for access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate system and hardware issues at both local and global levels.
  • Lead on-site software commissioning and testing.
  • Lead inspections, evaluations, and inventory.
  • Perform take-off project drawings.
  • Create, document, and track RFIs.
  • Design assist and feedback.
  • Document daily reports and project progress.
  • Communicate project and team member issues/concerns to management.
  • Create and manage project schedules.
  • Integrate IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems.
  • Forecast and manage project labor hours.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and subordinates.
  • Guide and mentor technicians.
Requirements:
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Education: HS diploma or GED, Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours), or graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program.
  • 8+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
  • Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems.
  • Software House CCURE, Verint, MDI, AMAG Symmetry, Bosch BVMS, Bosch IDS, Hirsch, Intercom Systems AIphone, FFT, Honeywell Video & Vindicator, and Proximex certifications and experience in installation of said systems.
  • Lenel OnGuard Enterprise Security System certification (1000 and 2000).
Abilities:
  • Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period.
  • Relocates a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
  • Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls, and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
  • Possesses good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
  • May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
  • Tells when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
  • Applies general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Combines pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.
  • Sees details at close range.
  • LISTENS to and understands information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
