Microbiology Faculty Member

We are seeking a highly qualified Microbiology Faculty member to join our team at Florida Technical College. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging and informative courses in microbiology, encompassing both online and on-campus components with a laboratory setting.

• Develop and deliver effective instruction in assigned nursing courses, ensuring alignment with program curriculum, learning outcomes, and best practices.
• Utilize diverse teaching methodologies, including lectures, case studies, simulations, group discussions, and other innovative techniques.
• Facilitate clinical learning experiences, providing ongoing mentorship and guidance to students in developing essential clinical skills and judgment.
• Continuously evaluate and improve teaching methods and course content based on current evidence, student feedback, and program goals.
• Participate in program development activities, including curriculum review, assessment development, and policy development.
• Stay current with evolving trends in nursing practice, healthcare, and nursing education through ongoing professional development activities.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, fostering a supportive learning environment for students and colleagues.
• Contribute to the department and university community through service activities and committee work.
• Compliance with FTC and standard safety and OSHA10 guidelines.
• Maintain lab, supplies, equipment.

• Master's degree completed in Microbiology, Immunology, or a closely related field.
• Minimum two years of experience teaching microbiology at the college level, including laboratory instruction.
• On-site position.

• Experience with online and blended course delivery.
• Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office applications, Adobe, and familiar with information systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
