Speech Language Pathologist Job Opportunity

Soar Autism Center is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Job Summary

As a Speech Language Pathologist at Soar Autism Center, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children with ASD. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques and instruments, to improve the communication abilities of children aged 2-6.

You will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team, including behavior analysts, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care. You will also actively involve families in the treatment process by providing them with education, resources, and support to foster their child's speech and language development.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children with ASD
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve the communication abilities of children aged 2-6
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
  • Actively involve families in the treatment process by providing education, resources, and support
  • Regularly evaluate and document the progress of each child, fine-tuning interventions as necessary to maximize effectiveness
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program
  • License to practice speech pathology in the state of your chosen center
  • Preference to SLPs with 3+ years of experience, but also open to new SLPs starting their career
  • Prior experience with AAC or interest in learning from our clinical teams
  • Embody a playful spirit and the ability to connect and engage with young children
