Carpenter/Painter

At Paul Davis in Cleveland Metro, we are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Painter to join our team. As a Carpenter/Painter, you will be responsible for performing on-site construction and remodeling improvements to various properties as directed by superiors.

• Measure, cut, and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings.
• Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Assemble scaffolding or set up ladders to perform tasks above ground level, as required.
• Cover trim, floors, furniture, and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths, and other protective coverings to keep free of paint.
• Contain rooms to keep areas outside of the construction zone free of dust and debris.
• Tape, float, and texture walls and ceilings, as needed.
• Complete notes of assigned jobs in the primary operating system (RMS).
• Communicate with the Project Manager and customer of assigned jobs with ETA.
• Take photos of jobs assigned from start to finish.
• Follow the project manager's instructions in executing the job utilizing appropriate finishes and applications.
• Responsible for performing on-site construction and remodeling improvements to various properties as directed by superiors.
• Work within deadlines and will need to ensure that jobs are completed on time, though this should not interfere with the quality of work.
• Rough and Finish Carpentry.
• Supports team with special maintenance projects, as needed.

• Customer service experience.
• Wallpaper skills are a plus.
• Ability to adapt to change.
• Valid driver's license and background check with a clean record.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Two (2) plus year of related experience preferred.
• The job requires a proficiency in using hand and power tools, carpentry skills and general construction knowledge.
• Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.
• Exposure to weather with temperatures ranging from mild/moderate to extreme cold/heat.
• Exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud and occasional to frequent.
• Exposure to fumes from solvents and chemical solutions.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights and lift up to 75 pounds.
