Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating effectively within a team or independently to tackle complex cybersecurity challenges.
  • Assessing and recommending cyber protection tools to bolster security posture and facilitate system remediation.
  • Conducting thorough analyses of mission impact and risk associated with proposed tools.
  • Translating analytical insights into actionable security use cases for implementation within existing surveillance frameworks.
  • Providing comprehensive technical reporting of analysis outcomes through presentations and documentation tailored for diverse audiences.
  • Managing and operating various cloud and on-premises network security devices, including troubleshooting application performance issues.
  • Implementing updates for application versions upon release.
  • Creating detailed documentation, diagrams, and deliverables for tool maintenance, including technical designs with Visio.

Essential Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain DHS Suitability and a TS/SCI clearance.
  • A minimum of 6 years in software development.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Agile software development methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of cyber defensive operations and technologies.
  • Experience with SecureSphere Imperva Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and Database Activity Monitoring (DAM).
  • Advanced skills in securing network traffic using AWS technologies, including API Gateway and Application Load Balancers.
  • Familiarity with intrusion detection/prevention systems and various security analytics tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud DevOps Administration or Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience with Network Security Identity Management tools.
  • Experience with DHS projects is a plus.

Educational Background:

A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Alternatively, eight years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

Certifications:

  • Current certifications such as CISA, GCIH, GCED, CISSP, CASP, or Security+ are preferred.
  • AWS certifications like Cloud DevOps Developer Associate or SysOps Administrator Associate are also advantageous.
