Labor and Delivery Nurse

We're seeking a compassionate and skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team at Mercy. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients during one of the most significant moments of their lives.
Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care, maintaining professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information, performing duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
- Personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., Six Assessment & Care Modules, C-EFM, Other unit-specific certifications as required.
- Preferred Experience: 1 year experience in L&D unit.
