Complete Description:

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist who will oversee in-process and final product quality evaluations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.

This role will involve regular collaboration with:
Research faculty, technicians, and support personnel.

This position typically provides guidance and support to:
Unit leadership, research faculty, technicians, and students

This role is 100% onsite, requiring 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the manufacturing and assembly of prototype components to confirm they meet customer
specifications; inspections may include mechanical, digital, optical, or by coordinate measuring machine, or any
other necessary methods.

  • Utilize various measurement tools, testing apparatus, and established specifications to conduct necessary tests
to ensure fabrication adheres to specified standards.

  • Create and document quality assurance protocols, checklists, and defect reports for any discrepancies identified
during the testing phase and escalate as needed for resolution.

  • Recognize persistent quality challenges and propose enhancements.
  • Maintain and calibrate measurement equipment.
  • Oversee Chromium conversion and anodization tank calibration.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and facilitate external processing tasks such as
painting, sandblasting, anodizing, etc.

  • Execute other related tasks as assigned.
