We are looking for a meticulous and reliable Residential Cleaning Specialist to uphold the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of a premier apartment community. The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring that shared spaces, amenities, and unoccupied units are pristine, organized, and welcoming.
Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00/hr
The pay range provided reflects the hourly rate for this role. Actual offers will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, capabilities, geographic location, and market alignment.
401(k) Plan: Eligibility for personal contributions begins on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You will qualify for the ABM match starting the first of the month after six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions dollar for dollar for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Both your contributions and the match are immediately vested.

Key Responsibilities:
- Common Area Maintenance: Clean and upkeep all shared areas of the apartment community, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and community rooms. Duties involve sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash disposal.
- Amenity Upkeep: Ensure that all amenities such as fitness centers, lounges, and pools are maintained in a clean and ready state for resident use. This includes sanitizing surfaces, wiping down equipment, and restocking supplies.
- Unit Preparation: Assist in the thorough cleaning and readiness of vacant units for incoming residents, including deep cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, and bedrooms to meet the property’s high standards.
- Restroom Sanitation: Regularly clean and replenish restrooms in common areas, ensuring they are always hygienic and well-stocked.
- Waste Management: Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from common areas, ensuring proper waste management and cleanliness.
- Window Care: Clean interior windows, glass doors, and other glass surfaces in common areas to maintain a spotless and streak-free appearance.
- Floor Maintenance: Conduct routine floor care tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors in shared spaces to uphold a pristine look.
- Reporting Issues: Promptly report any maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or necessary repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.
- Supply Oversight: Monitor and manage housekeeping supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are stocked and readily available.
- Resident Engagement: Provide courteous and professional service to residents, addressing their needs and inquiries in a friendly manner.
- Specialized Projects: Assist with special cleaning initiatives as required, such as deep cleaning or seasonal tasks.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably within a residential or hospitality setting. Experience in a luxury apartment community is advantageous.
- Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Physical Demands: Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Communication: Basic communication skills; ability to follow instructions and report issues clearly.
- Dependability: Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and dedication to maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the property.
Work Environment:
- Location: On-site at a luxury apartment community, with work primarily indoors but may include some outdoor tasks.
- Hours: Full-time or part-time position with flexibility to work some weekends or evenings as required.
