Job Description

This pivotal role as a Drywall and Paint Estimation Specialist requires a skilled professional to accurately estimate costs and materials for commercial drywall and paint projects. Key responsibilities include assessing project specifications, conducting site visits, and collaborating with clients to comprehend their requirements.

Responsibilities

  1. Cost Estimation: Analyze project requirements, blueprints, and specifications to accurately estimate the cost of materials, labor, and equipment needed for drywall and paint projects.
  2. Project Management: Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to guarantee smooth project execution.
  3. Sales and Marketing: Actively engage with potential clients, cultivate relationships, and generate sales opportunities. Present proposals and bids to clients, addressing their needs and providing solutions tailored to their requirements.
  4. Site Visits and Assessments: Conduct site visits to assess project conditions, take measurements, and identify any potential challenges or opportunities.
  5. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed project proposals, bids, and contracts outlining project scope, timelines, costs, and terms.
  6. Customer Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and effectively. Continuously seek opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional services.
  7. Industry Knowledge and Stay Updated: Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies related to commercial drywall and paint estimation and construction.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience as a Drywall and Paint Estimation Specialist in a construction or contracting environment.
  2. Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to accurately estimate project costs.
  3. Excellent project management abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  5. Proficiency in using estimation software and familiarity with industry-standard tools and techniques.
  6. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  7. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
