**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving drinks, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Serve guests enthusiastically and suggestively sell menu items
• Prepare and serve drinks according to recipes and standards
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including the bar, tables, and surrounding areas
• Ensure accuracy of orders and food/drink quality standards
• Adhere to legal compliance of alcoholic beverage service
• Maintain guest satisfaction through bar/table maintenance, refills, responding to additional needs, pre-bussing, and prompt check delivery and payment processing
• Assist co-workers in the dining room by seating tables, running food and providing guest service when needed
• Set up, maintain and organize workstation
• Prepare drinks according to recipes, standards and processes
• Ensure cleanliness of bar area and dining room throughout shift and performs side work
• Maintain bar dish machine and proper chemicals needed to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of equipment
• Maintain proper food storage temperatures and rotation using FIFO Method
• Use knives, measuring ladles, scoops, scales, can opener, dish machine or other bar equipment, tools or utensils
• Follow safety procedures and standards when operating all equipment
• Follow health department standards for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of work area
• Ability to handle multiple priorities, work under stress and exercise good judgment when dealing with guests and feedback
• Cooperate with co-workers and managers to meet the demands of the restaurant
**Requirements:**
• Experience with general service techniques and bar equipment is required
• A high school diploma is desired but not required
• Physical Requirements (Reasonable Accommodations may be requested):
• Performs duties that require bending, lifting, reaching and turning
• Transports items and containers (weighing up to 50 lbs.) to and from stock and dining room locations
• Is able to stand up to 8 hours or longer if needed
• Additional requirements include:
• Standing and Walking 100% of the time
• Lifting up to 50 pounds to shoulder high
• Carrying up to 50 pounds for short distances
• Exposure to heat and water
• Bending and reaching from under the counter (5 inches above the ground) to 6 feet above the ground with at least one arm
• Climbing ladder and step stool
• Dexterity required for handling food items and dishes
• Ability to communicate with the guest
