The Respiratory Therapist plays a crucial role in delivering respiratory care to patients with diverse medical conditions and physical challenges.
Certification Requirements- ACLS certification is mandatory for specific units including 4 North, Stroke and Trauma, ICU, and ER.
- BLS certification is sufficient for MedSurg/Ortho and 4 South postings.
The therapist will:
- Conduct respiratory therapy procedures tailored to individual patient needs.
- Be prepared to float to different units as required, ensuring that all assignments align with their skill set.
Shannon Medical Center is a licensed facility with over 400 beds, offering a comprehensive range of clinical services to cater to patient requirements. We are recognized as a Lead Level 3 Trauma Center in the region, featuring:
- A nationally acclaimed Intensive Care Unit.
- Critical care services for newborns starting from 28 weeks.
- State-of-the-art diagnostic capabilities in our radiology department.
- Comprehensive testing and surgical services for cardiology patients.
- All contract nurses must successfully complete a brief medication administration assessment.
- Note that there is a 110-mile radius rule for contractors; individuals residing within this distance will not be considered for employment.
