The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, integration, and customization of a defensive cyber solution. This development will cater to various Leidos programs and emerging business sectors within defense, intelligence, commercial, and civil domains.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Formulating procedures and methodologies for the sustained utilization of a cyber operations platform within designated environments.
2. Assessing, selecting, and integrating open-source cyber tools for incorporation into the cyber operations platform.
3. Crafting innovative algorithms for Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) to identify malicious activities.
4. Designing graphical dashboards and tools to improve the visibility of cyber activities monitored by the cyber operations platform.

Essential Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, along with experience in the following areas:

- Ability to work autonomously to achieve results efficiently.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C, JavaScript, Python, Bash, HTML, and CSS.
- Familiarity with infrastructure tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, make) utilized in the development of commercial software products.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the commercial cyber stack and projects, including Suricata, Splunk, and Elastic.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., Vagrant, ESXi, VirtualBox, Proxmox, or KVM) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Skills in analyzing network protocols using tools like Wireshark and others.
- Experience in developing web-based applications using the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
- Capability to develop applications for both LINUX and Windows operating systems.
- Experience in collaborative software/hardware development environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in capturing, analyzing, and interpreting network packets and various common protocols.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and DevOps tools.
- Knowledge of Cyber Security principles.
- Interest in fundamental networking concepts and skills, including basic LAN and WAN networking.

Compensation Information:
Pay Range: $53, $97,525.00
