Job Summary:

Serves as a Nursing Assistant in a skilled nursing facility, providing essential care and support to residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs activities of daily living for or with residents, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Provides transportation for residents to designated areas within the facility.
  • Changes bed linens, runs errands, directs visitors, and answers telephone calls.
  • Takes and records vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, as directed.
  • Monitors and reports food and fluid intake and output.
  • Ensures resident/patient safety, comfort, and privacy when performing responsibilities.
  • Communicates pertinent resident/patient information to appropriate personnel.
  • Abides by all infection control protocols and completes annual competencies successfully.
  • Completes 12 hours of in-service education annually.
  • Responds to call bells, alarms, or intercom system for resident or patient needs.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
  • Listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Prefer Nursing Assistant experience in clinical specialty

Work Details:

  • Full-time position with 37.50 standard hours per week
  • $23.46 per hour (hiring range)
  • Exempt from overtime
