Responsibilities

The Logistics Handler is tasked with the secure management and transfer of finished products from the production area to the storage yard. This role also involves assisting with both on-line and off-line production activities as required. Candidates must be prepared to work over 40 hours weekly, including weekends when necessary. The Logistics Handler reports directly to the Production Supervisor or Yard Supervisor.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Adhere to proper personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols and maintain a safe working environment
  • Support off-line production and conversions as necessary
  • Promptly report unsafe conditions, actions, or injuries to the Production or Yard Supervisor
  • Monitor and record the quantity of units produced on the production line
  • Assist with the Preventive Maintenance program as needed
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all pipe products and packaging requirements
  • Operate forklifts safely and perform preventive maintenance
  • Ensure accurate documentation and movement of finished goods
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization in the facility and yard
  • Collaborate with plant personnel on production tasks, including end-of-shift cleaning
  • Enhance job skills through company training initiatives
  • Aid in truck loading as required
  • Conduct visual inspections for product quality
  • Understand and embody ADS core values
  • Stack products according to established procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy items, including the capacity to repeatedly lift 75 pounds to a height of 6 feet
  • Capability to remain mobile and stand for a minimum of 8 continuous hours during specified shifts
  • Willingness to perform physical labor in varying temperature conditions
  • Daily handling of materials, necessitating the use of hands, arms, and legs for transporting finished goods
  • Full range of body motion required, including twisting, bending, reaching, and the ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehicles
