MyMichigan Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide direct patient care to patients in the Emergency Department, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Conduct ongoing assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Develop and implement individualized plans of care to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Implementation and Evaluation: Implement the plan of care, providing direct patient care and interventions as needed. Evaluate the effectiveness of the plan and make adjustments as necessary.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to establish goals and outcomes for each patient. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
- Education and Training: Provide education and training to patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
- Quality and Safety: Participate in quality and safety initiatives to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes as needed.
- Education: Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: Current RN licensure in the state of Michigan. BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required within 12 months of hire.
- Experience: One year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department or Critical Care setting preferred.
The Registered Nurse in this role will work in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment, providing care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a calm and composed demeanor in high-stress situations.
