Position Summary:
- Assist in administrative and clinical functions under the supervision of healthcare providers and management.

- Explain treatment procedures to patients and prepare them for examinations, including conducting basic laboratory tests.
- Conduct vision and hearing screenings, and administer vaccines, immunizations, and injections.
- Manage the disposal of contaminated materials and sterilize medical instruments as required.
- Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and referrals effectively.
- Maintain precise medical records, histories, and updates.
- Measure and document vital signs accurately.
- Facilitate patient check-out processes.
- Collect laboratory specimens in accordance with protocols.
- Support healthcare providers in their duties.
- Provide clerical assistance at the front desk, including customer service and processing payments.
- Adhere to billing and coding standards for insurance purposes.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations in the workplace.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- Medical Assistant Diploma.
- Preferred experience of six months to one year in a physician's office.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Ability to translate medical terminology from English to Spanish.
- Willingness to travel throughout the city.
- Reliable transportation is essential.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
