Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose mechanical issues promptly and effectively.
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to understand machinery requirements.
  • Dismantle, repair, and reassemble equipment as necessary.
  • Inspect components to assess dimensional changes and determine necessary repairs.
  • Replace or repair defective parts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Install specialized parts and components in machinery.
  • Assemble and test machinery to confirm successful repairs.
  • Collaborate with management to assist production operators with preventative maintenance.
  • Utilize metalworking tools to fabricate and repair parts.
  • Repair electrical systems and replace faulty wiring as qualified.
  • Coordinate with external service providers when required.
  • Initiate purchase orders for necessary parts and equipment.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, HVAC, and pneumatic systems.
  • Adhere to all OSHA and EPA regulations and company safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • Completion of a one-year certificate program from a technical school and three to five years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in basic mathematical operations and measurements.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to foresee potential issues and implement preventative strategies.
  • Innovative mindset for developing new work processes.
  • Capable of providing technical guidance and leadership.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities based on business needs.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Near visual acuity is necessary for detailed work.
  • Must navigate various departments within the facility.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
