Overview:

Kroll Bond Rating Agency, Inc. (KBRA) is on the lookout for a Senior Analyst to enhance our Sovereign Ratings division. This role involves conducting in-depth credit analysis and overseeing a diverse portfolio of sovereign and related financial exposures worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sovereign risk analysis and be fluent in Spanish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the ratings process by preparing comprehensive credit reports for evaluation committees.
  • Conduct macroeconomic research to support analytical findings.
  • Provide support for database management and data analytics initiatives.
  • Lead or assist in the creation of analytical tools for the Sovereign Ratings team.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a rating agency, investment firm, credit research, or related sectors focusing on sovereign debt and country risk.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred, particularly in economics, international relations, finance, or similar disciplines.
  • A strong interest in political dynamics, global affairs, macroeconomic trends, credit ratings, and capital markets.
  • Familiarity with sovereign credit metrics and relevant data sources.
  • Ability to significantly contribute to the credit ratings process and research on sovereign entities and related transactions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, with a proven capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Capability to engage in due diligence meetings with government representatives and experts across various fields impacting sovereign credit risk.
  • Comfortable in a collaborative, dynamic, and innovative work environment.
  • Self-motivated with effective time and resource management skills in a rapidly evolving organization.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Fluency in Spanish is essential.
Compensation:

The expected annual base salary for this full-time role ranges from $75,000 to $90,000, influenced by factors such as experience, skills, and geographical considerations.
