We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist Assistant to join our team at a renowned Skilled Nursing Facility in Coeur d'Alene, ID.
About the RoleThis is a 13-week contract position where you will play a vital role in assisting Physical Therapists in providing comprehensive care to patients in medical settings. You will be responsible for implementing treatment plans, conducting therapeutic exercises, and supporting patients throughout their rehabilitation process.
Your Key Responsibilities- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), home health, outpatient clinics, or acute rehabilitation centers.
- Provide direct physical therapy services to patients, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and function.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patients' rehabilitation goals and ensure coordinated care.
- Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities tailored to patients' needs and treatment goals.
- Monitor patients' progress and communicate findings to physical therapists, adjusting treatment interventions as necessary.
- Assist in the setup and use of therapeutic equipment and modalities during treatment sessions.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and strategies for maximizing functional independence.
- Document patient progress and treatment interventions accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in discharge planning and transition of care processes as part of the interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain professional competence through continuing education and training activities.
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Experience working in a medical setting such as skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), home health, outpatient clinics, or acute rehabilitation centers preferred.
- Knowledge of physical therapy interventions, techniques, and equipment used in medical settings.
