Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality instruction to students with diverse learning needs, including those with exceptionalities.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with colleagues and families to ensure the safety and success of all students.
- Participate in professional growth and development, including coaching and feedback, to enhance instructional practices.
- Compile and analyze student data to drive improvements in instruction and outcomes.
- Contribute to school-wide activities and procedures, such as arrival/dismissal, meal and recess duty, and community engagement events.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- New Mexico state special education teaching licensure in the appropriate content area.
- Criminal background clearance.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Experience in economically disadvantaged schools, especially in Special Education.
- Knowledge of New Mexico Common Core and Content Standards.
- Knowledge of the Science of Reading.
- TESOL Certification and/or bilingualism.
- Experience with Direct Instruction and Social-Emotional Learning.
- Strong understanding of educational technology and tools.
