Job Summary

As a CDL A Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in connecting farmers, ranchers, and cooperatives across the United States and around the world. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely pick up and delivery of products to our customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement, and hours of service.
  • Provide excellent customer service by treating customers professionally, greeting them promptly and courteously, and promptly handling all customer concerns and elevating to leadership if required.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicle(s) inside and out and work environment.
  • Complete and document daily maintenance inspections and ensure proper equipment maintenance, including repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, training, personal protective equipment procedures, and regulations.
  • Report all incidents, accidents, and traffic violations to the supervisor immediately.
  • Enroll in and complete mandatory CHS random drug and alcohol testing program and the Continuous Monitoring Program.
  • Assist operational staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned.
Requirements
  • Class A CDL license
  • 1+ years of experience in transportation and/or logistics
  • Must meet minimum age requirement
  • High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
  • Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to work additional hours, be available for overnight stays, and occasional weekends to meet business demands
  • Valid Class A CDL preferred
  • Hazmat, Tanker, Air Brake endorsements preferred
  • Agriculture background preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Bulk liquid, pressure trailer, or forklift experience preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds
  • Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins and into the back of the trailer
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
