We are seeking a skilled Trailer Rebuild Technician to join our team at Prime Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing body parts on trailers, ensuring our fleet is in top condition.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate and repair trailer body parts to factory specifications.
- Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and shop tools to facilitate trailer repairs.
- Disassemble and reassemble trailer parts as necessary to repair damaged areas.
- Perform maintenance tasks, including brake changes, services, and general repairs, to maintain fleet standards.
- Diagnose wiring and air supply issues using a lite check machine to identify and repair problems with braking, ABS, and air systems.
- Read and understand repair orders to optimize shop space and address all maintenance tasks needing to be performed.
- Perform detailed inspections of equipment to prepare for turn-in and return equipment to factory specifications.
- Verify completion of all maintenance tasks performed to maintain fleet standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to help identify problems and expedite repairs.
- Maintain shop tools to preserve the life and functionality of company equipment.
- Clean tools and working areas.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Tractor mechanic, diesel mechanic, HVAC, lube technician, or automotive technician experience is a plus, but not required.
- Must have a strong work history and flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends.
- Ability to acquire basic hand tools and a toolbox by the end of the training period.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Pass a job-specific post-offer physical prior to beginning employment with Prime, Inc.
