As a Veterinary Assistant at Banfield Pet Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our furry patients. You will work closely with our veterinary team to ensure the safety and well-being of pets, clients, and associates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing quality care to pets
  • Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, exam rooms, and labs
  • Communicate effectively with clients and veterinary team members
  • Assist with procedures and tasks that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance
  • Educate clients on the importance of preventive care and our Optimum Wellness Plans
  • Mentor and support other hospital team members

Requirements:

  • Certificate of completion from a NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to perform all required skills of NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant programs

As a Veterinary Assistant, you will be responsible for providing professional, efficient, and exceptional service to our clients and pets. You will use your technical skills to assist with procedures, communicate with the veterinary team, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
