Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Technologist to join our team at TransMedics. As an Instructional Technologist, you will play a critical role in enhancing the e-learning experience of our medical staff and other business functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop online courses, modules, and learning materials that are engaging and effective.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
  • Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring it is up-to-date and functioning properly.
  • Provide technical support to instructors and students using the LMS.
  • Apply instructional design principles to create effective and engaging learning experiences.
  • Evaluate and recommend e-learning tools, technologies, and platforms.
  • Integrate new technologies into the learning environment to enhance the learning experience.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of online courses to ensure they meet standards and best practices.
  • Manage e-learning projects from inception to completion, including timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in e-learning and instructional technology.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience working with Learning Management Platforms.
  • Experience with E-learning authoring tools.
  • Proven experience with instructional design and e-learning development.
  • Proven experience with E-learning development tools and technologies.
  • Proficiency in E-learning authoring and development tools.
  • Understanding of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design principles.
  • Experience using ADDIE, SAM, or Agile methodology.
  • Basic knowledge of related web development technologies.
  • Experience creating storyboards and translating them into engaging web-based learning modules.
  • Familiarity with SCORM and other e-learning training standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Familiarity with multimedia tools for creating interactive content.
  • Ability to train and support end-users on LMS functionalities.
  • Experience in a corporate training environment.
Education

Bachelor's degree in Instructional design, Instructional Technology, Computer science, Education Technology, or a related field.
