Job Summary and Responsibilities
In collaboration with patients, their families, and the healthcare team, the Critical Care Registered Nurse is responsible for:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating treatment plans.
- Managing critically ill patients and overseeing ventilator management.
- Responding to emergency situations, including Code Blue protocols.
- Facilitating patient flow, including preparation for examinations and general nursing care.
- Educating patients and families on medications and treatment plans.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and managing medication administration.
- Ensuring adequate supplies and resources are available in patient rooms.
- Handling incoming calls and providing triage when necessary.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice or an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from an accredited provider.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred, to be obtained within six months of hire.
- Prior experience in acute care nursing is required.
